Description

As usual, all teams are required to post (and maintain) at $1500 damage deposit as a condition of sailing in the 2026 IOD World Championship. These funds will be used directly to repair any minor damage attributed to a team during the week, or as the deductible payment for a major claim.   Teams incurring damage during the regatta will be require to replenish their damage deposit balance before continuing to race.

Teams that don’t incur any attributable damage should expect a full refund of their damage deposit, except in the case of a prorated charge across all teams for damage discovered during the event that is not able to be attributed to a team.
